Event in Berlin, Germany, Nov. 9-11 Chaired by Mikhail Gorbachev

WASHINGTION, DC. (Oct. 14, 2009) – Global Communicators, LLC, will provide international media advice and counsel to the Permanent Secretariat of Nobel Peace Laureates Summits, which organizes the annual event that this year will bring Nobel Peace Prize winners together in Berlin Nov. 9-11.

Global Communicators was media adviser to 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Mohammad Yunus, known as the “father of microcredit,” and provided advance and onsite media supervision for Yunus at the Oslo ceremonies.

Jim Harff, GC president and CEO said, “Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the deliberations will focus on how ideological, economic, strategic and religious walls that continue to divide humanity can best be dismantled and replaced with bridges of communication and understanding.” A declaration will be issued by the Nobel Peace Laureates at the conclusion of the event, to be held at the Berlin Town Hall.

Global Communicators, in collaboration with APCO Worldwide’s Berlin office, will provide advance and onsite media relations services for the event, expected to be covered by 300 journalists.

Under the sponsorship of the Gorbachev Foundation and chaired by Mikhail Gorbachev, the summit has taken place every year since 1999.
